British aid group worker on way to safety-charity

MOGADISHU, Oct 20 (Reuters) - A British contractor kidnapped in Somalia last week whilst working for Save the Children was "on his way to a place of safety", the charity said on Wednesday.

"We continue to be concerned for him but at this point we are cautiously optimistic," Anna Ford, Save the Children's spokesperson in Nairobi told Reuters. (nairobi.newsroom@reuters.com; +254 20 222 4717)
