Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery

According to the Global Slavery Index, 45.8 million people are trapped in some form of slavery today. Journalists around the world play an instrumental role in shedding light over this largely under-reported issue. But in order to do so, they need to better understand the many issues related to this complex crime, so that in turn they can report on this issue accurately and effectively.
 
We run programmes for media professionals to equip them with the skills they need to investigate and shed light on this growing global industry.

We expose its perpetrators through our award-winning coverage, we give survivors a voice at our annual Trust Conference, we honour corporations for excelling in attempts to eradicate slavery from their supply chains through our Stop Slavery Award, and we conduct legal research and collaborate with top law firms, businesses and NGOs to trigger policy change through our TrustLaw programme.
