WASHINGTON, Oct 11 (Reuters) - The Palestinian push for U.N. membership is not going anywhere for now, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday, making the case that the Palestinians should resume peace talks with Israel.

Clinton also told Reuters she has asked the U.S. Congress to allow the United States to keep funding U.N. agencies that grant the Palestinians membership, saying cutting off bodies like the International Atomic Energy Agency would hurt U.S. interests. (Editing by Sandra Maler)
