July 15 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1130 GMT on Friday.

PAKTIKA - Afghan and foreign troops killed 35 insurgents, including a number of foreign fighters, during an operation in Orgun district of southeastern Paktika province, spokesman for the governor of Paktika, Mukhlis Afghan, said.

A spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said ISAF and Afghan troops had carried out an operation in Orgun on July 13, which had killed a number of insurgents in "double digits" but he could not confirm the exact number.

HELMAND - Five civilians were killed and another wounded when their vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb in Sangin district of southern Helmand province on Friday, the provincial governor's spokesman said.

KABUL - ISAF said it was investigating an operation it carried out late on Wednesday in southeastern Khost province. ISAF said six insurgents, including one female militant, were killed in the operation and one civilian woman was injured. Afghan officials say the dead were all civilians.
